You are the unconditional love you've been looking for

There is nothing that we need to get rid of ever. Everything when gently welcomed into the present moment is seen to be nothing other than pure energy. Everything including anger, jealousy, rage, sadness and disillusionment arises from the same source. We have been conditioned by a right/wrong, better/worse view of reality. This simply causes more suffering and more isolation. Life force, the essence of your being becomes contracted and distorted through denial. The only thing that "frees" this energy is unconditional love. We meet whatever is here with tenderness, a gentle allowing and what has been contracted and somehow cut off from the whole begins to open. There really is no other way. This can be difficult at first because so much of our identity is based on a denial of certain aspects and tremendous amounts of energy go into keeping these aspects suppressed and hidden from view. We may be so successful at this that it is even hidden from us.

Every one of us is made up of the whole. To say that I don't experience anger, I don't experience sadness, I don't experience hurt, and I don't experience hate is simply a lie. We have been conditioned to only reveal certain aspects. Many of us prefer to be seen as kind, good and compassionate and there are those of us that prefer the identity of being hard, cold, uncaring or the black sheep. It's not that we aren't this…it's simply not the whole story.

What freedom is to be found when there is no longer a need to hide, a need to suppress and deny. Have you ever had the experience of sharing a long held secret, a sorrow, a regret or shame with a friend and experienced love and compassion in their eyes? There is nothing more liberating that that and something inside us automatically softens. What we've been moving away from in a million different ways has been seen. Finally something rests.

I know that many of us have had the opposite experience of not being received that way and it's painful. It's easy to see why we don't risk this kind of vulnerability but the price of not taking the "risk" is really high. It costs us our aliveness. Who we really are as consciousness never moves away - never has and never will. We can begin today to align ourselves with that which simply says, "yes" to whatever is here. Allow yourself to be the unconditional love that you've been looking for.
